Our Facility

EB Medical Research is based in Almere, one of the fastest-growing cities in the Netherlands, within a region of over 700,000 residents in the greater Almere–Amsterdam–Gooi area. Our site combines big-city reach with a location that’s genuinely easy to get to:

  • 5 minutes’ walk from Almere Centrum train station, with direct connections across the Netherlands
  • 30 minutes from Amsterdam and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
  • Direct access to major highways (A6/A1), with free private parking

We have conducted clinical research at this location for over 25 years, and this sustained presence has allowed us to build a database of 4,500 research-interested candidates across the region.

Facility Highlights

  • Two -80°C ultra-low temperature freezers for long-term sample storage
  • On-site sample processing: centrifuge, pipetting, aliquoting
  • 5 dedicated phlebotomy chairs for extended PK visits up to 8 hours
  • Dedicated clinical research rooms for supervised dosing and monitoring visits
  • On-site ECG and vital signs monitoring equipment
  • On-site investigational medicinal product pharmacy.
    A separate unit in the building, operated by licensed pharmacist (Pharmaserv)
  • Meals or products can be prepared and administered on-site under supervision

When a protocol includes specialist procedures, we often seek collaboration with Flevoziekenhuis. Flevoziekenhuis is also regularly engaged by EBMR for decentralized lab services.
VRN
Vasculair Research Network

VRN coordinates cardiovascular research for a network of cardiologists and clinical research sites. EBMR conducts several studies in this context.

VDW

VDW is our specialized partner in temperature monitoring. Our refrigeration and freezer equipment is maintained by VDW, who can also supply a backup unit in the event a machine unexpectedly fails.
